Dannii Minogue got fans excited on Twitter after teasing a mystery announcement for next week.

The Put The Needle On It star took to the platform to share a clip of her eye and a goldfish on loop, along with the date, “24.06.20,” and a fish emoji.

While Dannii didn’t share any more info, fans took to the comments to speculate as to what the date could represent.

“Ooh exciting! Saving the year with music,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Please tell me this is new music omg.”

However, the general consensus seemed to suggest the star was hinting at a re-release of her third album Girl.

One fan pointed out the goldfish was previously used by Dannii on the single cover for the record’s lead track, All I Wanna Do, as well as in its video, which appeared to cement the theory.

Girl was released back in 1997 and spawned the UK Dance Chart number ones All I Wanna Do, Everything I Wanted, Disremembrance.

A re-release would come two years after the Aussie star celebrated the 15th anniversary of 2003 album Neon Nights with a special vinyl release in 2018.
