’80s group Tight Fit are back with their brand new single Fallout.
The group, who spent three weeks at the top of the UK charts with a cover of The Lion Sleeps Tonight in 1982, have joined Energise records to produce new music, with the first track Fallout due for release in October.
Energise confirmed: “Tight Fit will unleash their amazing new single “Fallout” in October, with productions by Matt Pop and Project K.
“This is one amazing comeback single,” they said, adding: “The album will be out in 2022”
Steve Grant, Julie Harris and Denise Waterman are part of the current line-up, which is said to be “excited to bring new and exciting music to both their huge fan base and to a legion of new fans just waiting to hear the trademark harmonies and incredible up-tempo pop that has become their trademark.”
According to Energise, the new tracks – which are all original compositions – are “pure Tight Fit, but very 2021”.
Tight Fit scored three UK Top 5 hits back in the ’80s, with debut release Back to the 60’s hitting No. 4 and Fantasy Island entering at No. 5 in the rundown.
The group released their last album ‘Together’ under the Almighty label back in 2016.
