The Script have released At Your Feet as the second single from their new LP ‘Satellites’.
The track brings together The Script’s signature soaring choruses and dramatic quiet/loud dynamics with a lyric inspired by a line frontman Danny O’Donoghue heard while watching football on TV.
“He plays with the world on his shoulders when it should be at his feet,” one pundit said, with the singer-songwriter switching up the line for the universal lyric: ‘I’d rather take the world off your shoulders and put it at your feet.’
“I was like: brilliant! I’m having that,” he says. “You can totally turn that into some kind of connotation with love. And I went into the studio the next day with that and in five minutes we penned the chorus.”

Arriving following the passing of original Script guitarist, founding member Mark Sheehan, ‘Satellites’ sees Danny and drummer Glen Power joined by new members Benjamin Sargeant (bass) and Ben Weaver (guitar), and pushes the band’s sound forward.
The creative process saw the group using 808s and playing with R&B-inspired sounds, focusing on upbeats sonics, and co-writing with hitmakers Steve Robson and Wayne Hector for an uplifting collection of songs that forges a new future for the group while honouring Mark in the process.
Danny explains: “The album cover is silhouettes of me, Glen and Ben Sargeant, our bassist, who’s been with us from the beginning. Then we have a hooded silhouette, because the air of Mark is still there.
“He always will be, but it’s also giving a tip of the hat to the future. It’ll never be the same Script. We’re just trying to get on and do what it is that we all feel is the next right thing to do and that’s to keep making more great music.”
‘Satellites’ is out August 16 and available to pre-order from The Script’s official store.
In support of the album, the band will embark on a headline tour of the UK and Europe, launching in November 2024 and playing through December, with a handful of new dates recently added.
