The Overtones have released their version of Sweet Caroline ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Having performed the track during shows across the summer, the four-piece have unveiled an ‘England’ version ahead of the contest.
Produced and mixed by Andrew Kingslow, the Neil Diamond cover is available across digital platforms.
Sweet Caroline has become a football anthem thanks to the England women’s team’s win at the 2022 EUROs, along with England’s men’s team’s success at the EUROs 2020 last year.
With every win, a medley of songs – including Gala’s Freed From Desire, Three Lions on a Shirt by David Baddiel and Lightning Seeds, and Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline – was played.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place in Qatar from November 20 to December 18, 2022
