The Hoosiers are celebrating 20 years together with a box set of their entire discography to date.
Formed in 2003 by Brits Alan Sharland (drums) and Irwin Sparkles (lead vocals) while studying at the University of Indianapolis, the group inked a deal with RCA and, in 2007, released their debut album, ‘The Trick To Life’.
The LP reached No. 1 on the UK Album Chart and spawned two Top 5 singles: Worried About Ray and Goodbye Mr. A.
In 2010, they released the follow-up album, ‘The Illusion Of Safety’, which peaked in the Top 10 and featured the hit single Choices, while subsequent LPs ‘The News From Nowhere’ (2014) and ‘The Secret Service’ (2015) were issued on the Crab Race label.
Now, for the first time, all four albums are collected in a 4CD mediabook, titled ‘Hoosier Complex’, featuring bonus tracks and a 32-page booklet, including a memoir depicting the band’s rise and fall – as told by the members’ mums – and unseen photos.
Prior to this, their debut album will be issued on 2LP black vinyl, celebrating its 15th anniversary, alongside a single black vinyl edition of it’s follow-up release.
In support of the reissue campaign, The Hoosiers will play a one-off concert at London’s Heaven on November 30, with tickets on sale now.
‘The Trick To Life’ and ‘The Illusion Of Safety’ are out on vinyl on November 25, with ‘Hoosier Complex’ available on January 20. All are available to pre-order now.
