Traci Braxton has passed away following a battle with cancer.
The singer’s death was confirmed by her family on Saturday, March 12 in a statement on social media.
In the post shared by sister Toni, the family said they will “miss her dearly,” writing: “It is with the utmost regret that we inform you of the passing of our sister, Traci.
Traci passed this morning as the snow was falling, our angel is now a snowflake.

We ask that you respect our privacy as we plan to send her home with love, celebrating her life.
We are family forever.

The Braxton Family
“Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer.
“Traci passed this morning as the snow was falling, our angel is now a snowflake,” the statement continued. “We ask that you respect our privacy as we plan to send her home with love, celebrating her life.
“We are family forever.”
Traci debuted alongside her sisters with the group’s 1990 single Good Life, but quit the group after the single failed to take off and Toni embarked on a chart-topping solo career.
She later rejoined the act and, in 2015, released the album ‘Braxton Family Christmas’, alongside Toni, Tamar, Towanda and Trina, with whom she appeared on their TV show ‘Braxton Family Values’.
In addition to her work with the group, Traci released two solo albums – ‘Crash & Burn’ and ‘On Earth’ – and scored a US R&B Top 20 hit with Last Call.
