Sugababes are back with their first original single in over a decade, lifted from their hotly-anticipated new album.
Ahead of their huge one-off show at The O2, London on Friday night (September 15), the trio have shared their soulful new track, When The Rain Comes.
“We loved being back in the studio and writing this song this summer, and it feels like the perfect song to release to coincide with our biggest headline show to date,” they shared.
“This song is a celebration of the people in our lives who stand by us and lift us up through the good and bad times.
“The three of us have been that for each other over the years and we felt there was no better way to mark this moment in our journey than with this song.”
The release comes after Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy dropped their surprise album, ‘The Lost Tapes’ – featuring recordings from 2013/2014, when they reformed as MKS, last December.
When The Rain Comes is the first original single to be released under the Sugababes name with the founding line-up since 2001 and will feature on the trio’s forthcoming album, due 2024 on BMG, according to a press release.
When The Rain Comes is out now digitally and available to pre-order on CD and 7″ vinyl from Sugababes’ online store.
