The UK’s biggest songs and albums of 2024 so far have been revealed, with a bunch of classic acts dominating the Top 10s.

According to OfficialCharts, half of the biggest albums of the year to date are best-of compilations, with Fleetwood Mac’s ’50 Years – Don’t Stop’ (No. 6), Elton John’s ‘Diamonds’ (No. 7) and ABBA’s ‘Gold’ (No. 8) among the most popular.

Two LPs from Taylor Swift feature – ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ (No. 3) and ‘Midnights’ (No. 10) – along with The Weeknd’s ‘The Highlights’ (No. 2) and the most recent album to make the cut, Ariana Grande’s ‘Eternal Sunshine’ (No. 9).

Topping the list is US star Noah Kahan with ‘Stick Season’, with the title song also becoming the biggest of the year, alongside hits from Cassö/Raye/D-Block Europe (Prada, No. 6), Beyoncé (Texas Hold ‘Em, No. 7) and Ariana Grande (Yes, And?, No. 8).

After becoming a global hit on the back of its appearance in the movie ‘Saltburn’, Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s Murder On The Dancefloor comes in at No. 3 on the biggest songs of 2024 so far.
