Kamille has opened up about working on new music with Kylie Minogue for the Aussie star’s forthcoming album.

The songwriter – who launched onto the music scene in 2013 after co-writing The Saturdays’ No. 1 hit What About Us and has a total of six chart-toppers under her belt – has been collaborating with the Spinning Around star on her 16th LP.

Last year, Kamille tweeted that the pair had been in the studio and they have kept in contact since, with Kylie even gifting her some of her latest wine variety in the new year after they shared a bottle in the studio.

“I was in the studio, sipping Kylie Wine in front of Kylie – it was ridiculous,” she tells RETROPOP’s April 2023 issue. “We were singing some of her songs; I was singing Better The Devil You Know and she sang it back to me. It was such a surreal moment!

“She’s the loveliest human being, it was such an honour to get to work with her and I’m so excited for her new music. You’re gonna love it!”

In the decade she’s been working in music, Kamille has collaborated with artists including Boyzone, Cheryl, Leona Lewis, Mabel, and Westlife, and she’s also released a run of singles including her debut Body and recent track Kammy (like i do) with Fred Again.

Now, she’s back in the studio working on new tracks, including a single with a yet-to-be-revealed industry legend. Of her career as a performer, she reflects: “I definitely set out to be an artist; I just wasn’t ready at the time. I had a lot of learning and growing to do and actually, I would say the world of music has changed and it’s much more open for anyone to try and be an artist.

“When I started it wasn’t that way, but now is the perfect time for me to go for it, because you can just do you. You don’t even need to have it all set up anymore – you can just release stuff!”

And she has plenty to look forward to over the coming months, revealing: “There will be shows, because I’ve got so much new music to perform, which is super exciting. There are loads of exciting collabs coming and things that you should keep your eyes open for. There’s gonna be a lot going on!”

Kamille will be releasing new music soon. Keep an eye on her social media pages for all the latest.
