Shakespears Sister have unveiled a glossy new HD upgrade of the music video for their iconic hit single Stay.
The track was the second to be lifted from the duo’s sophomore effort ‘Hormonally Yours’ and topped the UK Singles Chart for an eight-week run.
It went on to become the fourth-biggest-selling single of 1992 and, ahead of a 30th anniversary reissue of the album, the song’s classic visual has been freshly remastered.
Inspired by the film Cat-Women of the Moon, the video sees Marcella Detroit and Siobhan Fahey in a space hospital, fighting over a comatose man.
The clip won Best Video at the 1993 BRIT Awards.
Originally released in February, 1992 on London Records, ‘Hormonally Yours’ peaked at No. 3 in the charts and featured the singles Goodbye Cruel World, I Don’t Care, Hello (Turn Your Radio On) and My 16th Apology.
Celebrating three decades of the Ivor Novello-winning LP, a new ‘Menopausal Memories’ edition is available across CD/DVD and limited vinyl variants, featuring the original album plus never-before-seen content.
‘Hormonally Yours: 30th Anniversary Edition’ is available to pre-order now.
