Same Difference have returned to streaming with a rare track from their discography.
The brother-sister duo, who finished third on The X Factor way back in its fourth series, saw their debut album, Pop, taken down from online platforms in the latter half of 2020.
After singer Sean Smith was made aware of the removal, the group took to social media in December to reveal they were on the case, and had managed to have lead single We R One reinstated – along with B-side Like a Miracle for the first time ever.
The ballad was previously available on the original CD single, issued by Syco, but had never been released on streaming and download services.
According to online reports, the album was taken down after the rights to the release transferred back to Sean and sister Sarah Wilson, with the re-uploaded single attributed to Same Difference.
It raised hope for a reissue of the album, which turns 13 in 2021, along with follow-up The Rest is History, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary in February.
Same Difference called time on the group in 2014 – despite having recorded a third LP, reportedly titled Superheroes, under London Records.
The album has never been released, but the pair did stage a comeback in 2020 with One Life, One Love – a charity single raising funds for NHS Charities Together amid the pandemic.
