RuPaul’s classic debut album ‘Supermodel of the World’ will be reissued on vinyl later this year to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Tommy Boy Music.
The drag superstar first sashayed onto the music scene almost three decades ago with hit singles including Supermodel (You Better Work) – the first of three UK Top 40 hits from the LP.
Now, the record, also featuring the singles Back to My Roots – a US Dance No. 1, alongside A Shade Shady (Now Prance) – and House of Love, is to be pressed on vinyl to celebrate the label’s milestone.
In addition to a standard LP pressing, a limited edition picture disc variant will also be released, with both records set to drop December 10.
RuPaul has released an impressive 13 studio albums, with his most recent record ‘You’re a Winner, Baby’ dropping last year.
His most successful single in the UK, the Elton John duet Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, was a Top 10 hit, peaking at No. 7 in the charts.
