Roger Sanchez will release an expanded companion to his latest album ‘Spectrum’, his first in two decades, this month.
The US DJ and producer’s latest project is only his third studio album, following his 2001 breakthrough – the UK Top 40 ‘First Contact’, featuring the chart-topping single ‘Another Chance’ – and 2006 follow-up Come with Me’.
Due October 16 on Stealth Records, the new set features updated mixes from the LP. including his own Flower Power mixes of ‘How Do We Say Goodbye’ (featuring Karen Harding) and ‘I Don’t Wanna Know’ (featuring Melanie C), both which have become staples of his summer residency at Pacha Ibiza.
Elsewhere, David Morales helms the Latin-infused ‘Canto Al Amor’, while Dani Masi reworks ‘Temptation’ and Serdar Guven & Ahmed Ahmedov give a fresh take on ‘I Don’t Wanna Know.’
Also included is the new track ‘Feel Free’; a new house anthem fuelled by maximal funk, dancefloor-igniting beats and flourishes of sax, featuring producer, DJ and Run Bklyn Trax Company / Liberate Recordings owner EMan,
On the release, Sanchez says: “These remixes and my unreleased track with EMan have been secret weapons all summer long, at my Pacha Flower Power residency in Ibiza and all around Europe.
“I wanted to share them with everyone in the way I see and hear them. Like light refracting from a prism, changing the way you see it, these versions represent an alternative way to experience songs from my album ‘Spectrum’.”
‘Spectrum Refracted’ is out October 16 and available to pre-save here.
