Netflix has shared a new trailer for the forthcoming Robbie Williams docu-series.
The tell-all show will see the former Take That star look back on his life and career in the spotlight alongside new and archive footage documenting more than 30 years.
In the footage shared by the streaming giant, the Rock DJ singer is seen reflecting on his journey, admitting: “It’s astounding what’s happened in my life. The past has me in a headlock. Something has to give.
“You’re only supposed to do this at the pearly gates with St Peter, this looking back at your life,” he admits, speaking in the present day.
Alongside footage of him performing the classic Let me Entertain You, he continues: “I was the centre of the pop culture world. I felt like I was giving more and more of myself away to the point where you’re not somebody you recognise.
“Being in the spotlight you can’t trust anybody. I was having a nervous meltdown in front of thousands of people.”
He adds: “The thing that would destroy me has also made me successful.”
Shining light on the film, however, is Robbie’s wife Auda and their four children – Teddy, Charlie, Coco and Beau – with the couple looking on in astonishment as their daughter sings his track Angels, belting out, ‘I’m loving angels instead’, as her parents applaud.
The four-part series hits Netflix on November 8.
