Rick Astley helped an online pub quiz group raise more than £23,000 for charity.
The star stopped by Jay Flynn’s Virtual Pub Quiz on Friday, helping keep people entertained during lockdown while raising money for good causes.
For its 12th instalment, the quiz had a ‘Never Gonna Let You Down!’ theme – and, right on cue, the PWL icon was on hand to provide some between-rounds entertainment.
After praising host Jay for taking the time to host the entertainment and bring people together, the star took to his keyboard and guitar for stripped back versions of his hits Cry For Him and Never Gonna Give You Up.

So far, the weekly quizzes have raised over £400,000, with money benefitting a different organisation each week.
