Rewind Festival organisers are pushing forward and have secured a solid line-up for next year’s event.

After the 2020 festival was sadly cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, organisers began drawing up a stellar line-up for 2021, including Bananarama, Heaven 17, and Go West.

Jimmy Somerville’s Big Band-tastic Boogie and Wet Wet Wet will still be headlining the festival, alongside acts including Billy Ocean, Queen Symphonic, Heather Small and Tom Bailey.

We can now confirm the acts that are coming back for Rewind in 2021. Sadly we have had a couple who couldn’t make it due to prior commitments, one of whom is Nick Heyward – but we are delighted that Rewind Favourite Marc Almond is available and will join us next year!?? pic.twitter.com/ZKzZobEllY

While Nick Heyward was unable to make the new dates, Marc Almond has stepped in as a new addition to the line-up, and said of the gig: “I am very excited to be playing Rewind in 2021.

“I’ve played Rewind many times before, the experience has always been amazing. I really love the passion and excitement of the Rewind audience.”

He teased: “Get those pink flamingos at the ready and see you in 2021.”

The dates for the new festival are as follows:

Saturday 24 – Sunday 25 July: Rewind Scotland
Saturday 7 – Sunday 8 August: Rewind North
Saturday 21 – Sunday 22 August: Rewind South

Tickets to Rewind Scotland, Rewind North, and Rewind South are available here.
