‘The Masked Singer UK’ unveiled Pussycat Dolls superstar Melody Thornton as its latest star. 

The vocalist – who scored chart smashes with Buttons, I Don’t Need A Man and When I Grow Up, was eliminated from the show on Saturday (February 3) night as Maypole landed in the bottom three. 

Throughout the series, many mistook her to be judge Rita Ora, who was absent on several episodes, with Melody admitting: “I loved that they thought it was Rita at first because she wasn’t on the panel! I said it out there, and I’ll say it again.

“Two of my band mates were mentioned, which actually I was like, ‘Yes. Good. Yeah, go that way.’ Even though it’s too close. When you’ve been in a group, you’ll always be a part of that.”

Earlier in the show, Dippy Egg was unmasked as Nicky Campbell, who admitted he was quite emotional about doing the show, with his ‘Long Lost Families’ co-star Davina McCall – who appears as a judge – in shock as he lifted his disguise.
