The Weeknd appears alongside Aaliyah on the R&B star’s posthumous release Poison.
The collaborative single has been released via Blackground Records 2.0 and Empire ahead of a posthumous studio album by the singer, expected to arrive in 2022.
It follows The Weeknd’s track What You Need, which sampled Aaliyah’s 2001 track Rock The Boat, originally intended for his ‘Trilogy’ project.
The song was finally released when he reissued his ‘House Of Balloons’ mixtape to mark its 10th anniversary in March.
Earlier this year, Aaliyah’s uncle Barry Hankerson announced plans to release the singer’s entire back catalogue on streaming platforms, along with physical reissues, via his label Blackground Records and independent company EMPIRE.
It marks the first time ‘One In a Million’ and ‘Aaliyah’ have been available digitally.
