Pet Shop Boys will take over BBC Radio 2 for a three-hour show of their favourite tracks on Boxing Day.
The duo will hit the airwaves for a show that promises to “keep the party going just as the Christmas tunes are put into storage for another year”.
“Expect no Christmas songs but do expect a party playlist like no other,” reads a teaser for the programme.
Chris & Neil will present a three-hour show on @BBCRadio2 between 9 pm and midnight on December 26. In “Pet Shop Boys Takeover” they will present an eclectic selection of music from the 60s to the present day. The show will also be available via @BBCSounds. “There will be disco hits, synth-pop gems, the odd showtune and a fair share of Chris’ personal Northern Soul favourites.
“Three hours in which there will be no mourning the end of another Christmas… quite the opposite.”
“Only Pet Shop Boys could get away with this!”
In a social media post, the Always on my Mind hitmakers added the show will feature “an eclectic selection of music from the 60s to the present day”.
Tune in to the programme from 9 pm to midnight GMT on December 26. More here.
