Oasis stars Liam and Noel Gallagher have reportedly launched a new company in a bid to take control over a planned movie documenting the band’s reunion tour.
The siblings will launch the global run in June – marking their first performances together in 16 years – and have started their own company, Uprise North Ltd, to oversee the creation and distribution of the film.
Fans who have booked tickets for the run have been informed they will be recorded at certain stops, including the gig at Croke Park in Dublin on August 17, with sources telling The Sun’s Bizarre column the siblings’ “fractured relationship is properly mended and they’re both fully committed to this tour”.
“They had endless offers from companies wanting to make and distribute their come- back film but by opening this new company, they appear to be taking total control,” the insider added.
“Noel and Liam set the narrative from the start on their comeback and they want to be in control of whatever happens during and after the shows.
“For them the focus remains on putting on the best show possible as Oasis.
“It has been a very long time coming and they do not want to disappoint.”
It was previously reported that Apple+ and Prime were among the streaming giants keen to secure rights to the film, with sources adding that there are multiple offers on the table at this point.
It comes after Liam hinted that the band could also return to the studio to work on new music, depending on the success of the tour.
