Noel Gallagher “wouldn’t mind” taking up a residency in Las Vegas.
The former Oasis star mooted the idea of a string of shows in Sin City during an interview on ‘The Matt Morgan Podcast‘, admitting it’s a good option for when he’s too old for long tours.
“Would I do Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in Vegas? Possibly in later life,” he admitted. “You don’t have to go anywhere. You live in the hotel that you play at.
“Elvis Presley used to get a lift from his room to the stage – I wouldn’t mind doing that.”
While he has no plans to hit the Vegas stage yet, Noel is heading across the pond once his current tour dates are over and is hoping to catch U2’s new show.
“I’m going on holiday for a couple of weeks, and I’ve got bits to do at the studio, taking the kids away, that kind of thing – then I’m going to Las Vegas to see U2,” he added.
“They’re doing a residency, ‘Achtung Baby’ – their best album. It’s going to be quite the experience.”
In the meantime, the rocker – who returned to the charts earlier this year with his latest High Flying Birds album, ‘Council Skies’ – is gearing up for a much-anticipated show in Amsterdam.
“We’ve decided we’ll rehearse in Amsterdam – smoking wacky baccy, that’s exactly what I’m going to do,” he shared.
“Two days of rehearsals are needed to dust the cobwebs off. I’m going to Holland, Italy, France and somewhere else on the next tour.”
