Nile Rodgers leads the stars set to welcome Great Britain’s Olympic heroes home from Tokyo with a special concert later this month.
The 90 minute gig will be broadcast live from London’s The SSE Arena on August 15, with BBC Radio 1 DJs Greg James and Clara Amfo hosting the event.
Disco legend Nile is joined by Laura Mvula, Rag’n’Bone Man and Bastille on the line-up, while the English National Ballet will perform alongside Anne-Marie.
Theatre company Chickenshed will appear while the best moments of the 2020 Olympic Games are aired.
In a statement, Amfo said: “It would be an understatement to say that the road to Tokyo 2020 has not been easy for Team GB but their dedication and passion to the sports they love has been nothing short of inspiring!
“I am so honoured to be hosting Team GB Homecoming Concert by The National Lottery with Greg, on what promises to be a brilliant show full of celebration and love!
“Every single athlete deserves the very best homecoming and what better place than Wembley with these world class artists!”
Around 8,000 people will be in the audience, including friends and family of the Team GB athletes and key workers, who will be invited to attend the show.
The concert will kick off at 7.30 pm BST on BBC One.
