Michael Bublé soon gets tired of Christmas music.
The crooner’s holiday album ‘Christmas’ is one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century, with sales surpassing 16 million, but when it comes to celebrating the season, he’s done by Boxing Day.
He tells the Daily Star: “Christmas music reminds me of rich food, when you haven’t had it in a while and are so excited for it and you eat as much as you can.
“By the 26th of December you don’t ever want to hear it again. But there are worse things than a season where people are kind.”
But the dad-of-three insists he “loves Christmas so much” – and not just “through the eyes of the kids.”
“I love Christmas so much and my parents made it so great for us that I still have that sense of wonderment,” he beams.
“It’s not that I see it through the eyes of my kids, I genuinely have that wonderment. Like, my tree was up November 1st.”
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of his festive collection, this year Michael released a deluxe box set edition of the LP, including a seven-track bonus CD of personally selected cuts, including two new recordings.
Among the exclusive content is the Bublé co-penned The Christmas Sweater and a new studio version of holiday favorite Let It Snow!, recorded with the BBC Big Band Orchestra at the London’s Abbey Road Studios.
