Victoria Beckham is on board to reunite with the Spice Girls for a performance at Glastonbury festival.
The girl group reunited in 2019 for their ‘Spice World’ Tour, but Victoria was noticeably absent from the line-up, leaving Melanie, Emma Bunton, Mel B and Geri Horner as a four-piece.
But speaking on Wednesday’s ‘Lorraine’, Melanie – who is set to hit the road in support of her self-titled seventh album – hinted the original line-up may reform soon.
Admitting performing in the legends slot at Glastonbury would be “the dream”, she confessed: “We’d love to do it.”
When guest host Ranvir Singh probed, “All of you?”, Mel replied: “Between you and I, I know Mrs Beckham would love to do Glastonbury.
“It’s been rumoured a lot, but we do constantly talk about getting back on stage because the shows in 2019 were incredible.
“We’d love to do it again – once the world allows.”
She added:”When we did the stadium shows in 2019, we were blown away by how much love there is for the Spice Girls and how it did affect a huge amount of people, a young generation, so positively.”
To celebrate their 25th anniversary, the group recently released a four-track ‘Wannabe 25’ EP, featuring the classic single, written by Biff Stannard and Matt Rowe, plus new track Feed Your Love, co-written by the pair along with Spice Girls.
And Emma Bunton recently admitted she’s keen to hit the studio and record some new tracks with the group, sharing: “I love writing with the girls, we have such a laugh in the studio.”
Mel B also recently discussed the possibility of new music from the group, admitting: “We’ve been more about the lines of doing music together and hopefully getting the tour up and running because everything got shut down because of lockdown.
“My aim is for us to get back together and do some more songs together – and hopefully getting up on stage and entertaining everybody again.”
