McFly have shared a cover of Foo Fighters’ Best of You in memory of the late Taylor Hawkins.
The group’s drummer was found dead in his hotel room in Bogotá, Colombia on March 25, aged 50, hours before the band was due on stage as part of a South American tour.
In his memory, McFly have recorded a new version of the band’s 2005 single.
They penned: “In memory of the one and only Taylor Hawkins, 1972 – 2022.”
Foo Fighters confirmed Taylor’s passing in a statement shared across social media, admitting they were “devastated” by the news.
“The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins,” the band tweeted.
“His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever.
“Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.”
