Mark Ronson has shared a clip of Amy Winehouse’s demo vocal for their classic track Back To Black.
The late singer released the track as the title song from her second studio album in 2007, with the single reaching No. 25 in the UK charts at the time.
Following her tragic death in 2011, Back To Black rose to No. 8 and, in a TikTok video about the track, Mark revealed the story behind the song.

“Amy came to my studio right here and we met for the first time and I instantly loved her and she played me all of this great Sixties music and she left and I got very inspired and I came up with this piano right here,” he said.
“The next day she came in and wrote these incredible lyrics which she scribbled in the back room.”
Captioning the post, he penned: “All hail the lioness.”
In her lifetime, Amy battled addiction and, following the release of her second LP, underwent a stay in rehab in 2008.
Despite seeking help, she continued to struggle with alcohol abuse and died from accidental alcohol poisoning in 2011.
