Madonna has accused Tory Lanez of illegally sampling her classic hit Into the Groove.
The Queen of Pop took to Instagram to publicly call out the rapper, after he allegedly used her song without her permission.
“Read your messages for illegal usage of my song get into the groove!” she penned beneath one of his posts.
Although the apparent private message Madonna sent has yet to be revealed, she appears to be referencing Lanez’s song Pluto’s Last Comet, lifted from the hitmaker’s recently-released ’80s-inspired album, ‘Alone At Prom’.
In a statement released to Rolling Stone, Madonna appeared to be ready to take legal action against Lanez, adding via her representative: “I am tired of being taken advantage of and I mean business.”
Into the Groove originally appeared on the soundtrack to Madonna’s 1985 movie, ‘Desperately Seeking Susan’, and was later included on the re-release of her 1984 album, ‘Like A Virgin’.
Lanez, who is facing assault and gun charges for allegedly shooting fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion in the foot last year, has yet to publicly respond to the latest allegations.
