Little Boots offers a dreamy tour of Blackpool in the music video for her latest track Silver Balloons.
The singer recently returned with the first offering from her upcoming fourth studio album, due spring 2022, and alongside the self-produced track is a visual directed by Boots herself.
Speaking of the track, the Remedy hitmaker, aka Victoria Hesketh, says she wanted to capture “that northern chic, seaside glamour feel of dressing up to go out… mixing glitz with fish and chips, where the pier boardwalk becomes a catwalk.”
“Silver Balloons is in many ways a metaphor for all the cancelled plans and parties of lockdown, all of the disappointments as one by one we watched many of our hopes and desires burst like shiny balloons at the end of the night,” she adds.
“All we have left is each other; coming together and holding tight to hope is the way we have all seemed to get through the last couple of years.”
Alongside releasing a new album, Little Boots will be singing backing vocals, playing live keyboards and synthesisers as part of ABBA’s forthcoming ‘Voyage’ shows, beginning May 2022.
