Lisa Stansfield performed her new song My Man for the first time on BBC Radio 2’s Piano Room.
The All Around The World singer teamed up with BBC Concert Orchestra for the three-song set, which also included her classic hit Change and a cover of You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine by Lou Rawls.
“We write all the time but we just thought why not just go for it,” she says of the new material. “It’s usually four years between our albums, but we had lockdown so we don’t count that.”
A release date for My Man and Lisa’s forthcoming album – the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Deeper’ – has yet to be announced.
