Linda Martin has released a new version of the 1964 soul classic, Downtown.
Originally recorded and released by Petula Clark and later covered by acts including Dolly Parton and Emma Bunton, Martin previously put out a rendition of the track as part of a medley with It’s Getting Better.
The new version – produced by Matt Pop with Nicki French on background vocals – is her first release in two years.
