Lily Allen is to be the subject of a new documentary film.
Announced by Prime Video for a 2027 release, the feature-length project will chart the British singer-songwriter’s life and work, from her early years through commercial success and renaissance with her 2025 album, ‘West End Girl’.
According to the announcement, the yet-to-be-titled documentary will explore “Lily’s extraordinary journey, from the ‘Queen of MySpace’ who changed the rules of the music industry, to the cultural force she is today”.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Mat Whitecross, whose credits include ‘Oasis: Supersonic’ and ‘Coldplay: A Head Full of Dreams’, it will feature interviews with those “who know her best”.
“The documentary builds a rich and revealing portrait of an artist defined by her creative fearlessness,” the press release reads. “This is a story of resilience, reinvention, and an artist reclaiming her narrative on her own terms.
“This is Lily Allen as she’s never been seen before,” it adds. “Raw, real, and redefining what it means to thrive in the spotlight.”
Ahead of its release, the ‘Pussy Palace’ singer – who released her memoir, ‘My Thoughts Exactly’, in 2018 – will embark on the US leg of her ‘Lily Allen Performs West End Girl’ tour in September, before wrapping up in Australia in November.
