Olivia Rodrigo invited Lily Allen on stage during her set at Glastonbury to dedicate a performance of Fuck You to the US Supreme Court.

Following the overturning of a landmark ruling, which guaranteed women in the US the right to terminate a pregnancy, after 50 years, the pop stars teamed up to publicly slam the move.

Speaking on The Other Stage, Olivia said: “Roe v. Wade, which is a law that ensures a woman’s right to a safe abortion, a basic human right” had been overturned.

“I’m devastated, I’m terrified and so many women and so many girls are going to die because of this.

“I wanted to dedicate this song to the five members of the supreme court, who showed us that at the end of the day they truly don’t give a shit about freedom.

“This song goes out to the justices, Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barret, and Brett Kavanaugh. We hate you.”

Speaking about the meaning behind the song, Lily previously revealed at a concert in São Paulo, Brazil: “It was originally written about this fucking arsehole who used to be the President of the United States of America. His name is George W. Bush.”

It originally appeared on the star’s 2009 LP ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’.
