Lady Gaga is returning to the Las Vegas stage later this year.
‘Jazz and Piano: The Las Vegas Residency’ features songs from the Great American Songbook and reworkings of the pop superstar’s biggest hits from her six studio albums and beyond.
Heading back to Dolby Live at Park MGM on August 31, the Rain On Me hitmaker will play shows on September 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 10, 28 and 30, before returning for three dates on October 1, 4 and 5.
Gaga’s jazz residency started in January 2019 and went on a 21-month hiatus during the Covid-19 pandemic, returning in October 2021 with dates through May 2022.
The new ‘Jazz and Piano’ shows are her first since wrapping ‘The Chromatica Ball’ world tour last September.
In addition to her standards show, Gaga also staged ‘Lady Gaga Enigma’ in Sin City, with the focus of that show solely on her pop catalogue.
News of the new dates follows the passing of her friend and collaborator, Tony Bennett, with the Million Reasons star penning a tribute to her “true friend” in an extended social media post.
“I will miss my friend forever. I will miss singing with him, recording with him, talking with him, being on stage together,” she wrote, adding: “If I could say anything to the world about this I would say don’t discount your elders, don’t leave them behind when things change. Don’t flinch when you feel sad, just keep going straight ahead, sadness is part of it.
“Take care of your elders and I promise you will learn something special. Maybe even magical. And pay attention to silence—some of my musical partner and I’s most meaningful exchanges were with no melody at all.
“I love you Tony. Love, Lady.”
