Lady Gaga has teased her new album as being “unhinged” and “nothing like ‘Chromatica'”.
The Just Dance hitmaker recently released the ‘Joker 2’ companion record ‘Harlequin’, but she’s already looking to the future and her seventh studio album, which is expected to be released in February.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, she teased: “The pop album is nothing like ‘Chromatica’. It’s a completely different record. I don’t know that I’m even ready to talk about it yet, but it’s coming out soon, and I will.
“What I would say is, it’s all for me. It’s meant to be ingested as a time in my life. And I’m also really excited about this idea that I don’t have to adhere to an era if I don’t want to. I can have a few going at once.
“That feels unhinged and more like me or Harley. Or whoever.”
Earlier this year, Gaga hinted towards her seventh studio album while celebrating her 38th birthday, writing in a post on Instagram: “I feel like my heart is bursting for my own health and MUSIC. I am writing some of my best music.
“I’ve been writing pop songs since I was a little girl [and] I can’t believe I still get to do what I love. This year will be an important and meaningful year for us I know.
“Music changes people lives im so honored I get to be a part of that in this life. [sic],” the Born This Way singer added.
