Kylie Minogue is celebrating a quarter of a century of her seminal 2001 album ‘Fever’ with a series of reissues.
Originally released on October 1, 2001, the LP was led by Minogue’s signature hit, the global chart-topping ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’, and delivered three further singles: ‘In Your Eyes’, ‘Love at First Sight’ and ‘Come Into my World’, for which she won her first Grammy.
To celebrate the milestone anniversary, the album will be made available across limited-edition vinyl editions, including a Crystal Clear vinyl in the original sleeve with an alternate back cover, housed in a reflective mirror board outer sleeve embossed with a silhouette of the original artwork. It’s packaged with a previously-unseen contact sheet from the album shoot, photographed by Vincent Peters.
An Arctic Pearl vinyl edition is available exclusively from Minogue’s webstore.
Also exclusive to the store is a 12” limited edition vinyl of ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’, featuring the original version, extended mix, ‘Can’t Get Blue Monday Out Of My Head’ – the New Order mash-up Minogue performed at the 2002 BRIT Awards – and ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head (Peggy Gou’s Midnight Remix)’.
Meanwhile, expanded CD sets pair the original album with a second disc of B-sides, bonus tracks and remixes, including songs from the era such as ‘Boy’, ‘Tightrope’ and ‘Rendezvous At Sunset’, plus remixes by Roger Sanchez, Twin Master Plan and Fischerspooner. The standard CD edition comes in a three-panel digipack with a 12-page booklet of lyrics and photographs.
The exclusive webstore edition has an extended 20-page booklet and a mirror board outer sleeve carrying the ‘Fever (XXV Edition)’ logo.
‘Fever (XXV Edition)’ is out on November 27 on Parlophone and available to pre-order from Amazon, HMV, Rough Trade, Townsend and more, with exclusive editions and bundles available on Kylie Minogue’s Online Store.
