Jo O’Meara has released a new version of S Club’s classic hit Never Had a Dream Come True.
The single, co-written by Cathy Dennis, was the official 2000 BBC Children in Need track and became a UK No. 1 and US Top 10 hit for the group.
Now, Jo has re-recorded the track as a solo artist from her forthcoming third album.
Speaking to Retro Pop, Jo opened up about recording a solo album of stripped-back S Club classics.
She spilled: “I think after Don’t Stop Movin’ (Unplugged), the reaction was so amazing and the fans were asking for all different S Club songs, so I decided to do an album full of S Club classic songs.
“I’m so excited to get back in the studio and get going with it!”
Earlier this year, Jo released her second solo album ‘With Love’, featuring the singles On The Surface and Sweet Surrender.
In a review of the album, Retro Pop called ‘With Love’ Jo’s “most involved project yet” and described the record as having “stripped-back, organic tunes with a country edge”.
