Jennifer Lopez and Lin-Manuel Miranda have re-released their charity single Love Make the World Go Round to benefit the onePulse Foundation.
The pair first released the single back in 2016 in honour of the victims of the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando.
Marking five years since the tragedy, the pair are reissuing the track to help raise profits for the LGBTQ+ foundation.
Miranda tells the ‘Today’ show: “It’s the five-year anniversary of the Pulse tragedy, so we figured on the anniversary to rerelease the single, which we really released out of a desire to do something in the face of this tragedy.”
“The song is out, five years since we’ve done it,” Lopez added. “And I believe that that message of loving one another and coming together and love, is never more relevant than it is right now.”
Jennifer recently returned with Cambia El Paso, her first single of 2021 featuring rising star Rauw Alejandro.
And there’s more on the way, with J.Lo revealing she’s been in the studio every week for “the past few months”.
“I’m working on new music, Spanish and English, all the time,” Jennifer reveals. “I really just kind of roll with what feels right in the moment.”
Meanwhile, another new album – the soundtrack to the If You Had My Lovestar’s new movie ‘Marry Me’ – is set to drop alongside the film in February 2022.
