Jason Donovan sent a heartfelt thank you to Captain Tom Moore who has raised over £30 million for the NHS.
Captain Tom is walking one hundred lengths of his 25-metre back garden before he turns 100 years old at the end of April, and has raised an impressive amount to help the under-funded service as it continues to struggle amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In a video clip shared on Twitter, Another Night star Jason praised the veteran for his “extraordinary” effort.
“Hey Captain Tom – happy 100th birthday! Jason Donovan here, in lockdown,” he said. “What you’re doing for the NHS is inspiring, extraordinary, and you’re what this country is all about. A true hero, an absolute legend.
Hey Jason – I am learning a whole new language! Thank you so much for your help on raising money for our wonderful @NHS. Everyone across the country has been so generous.
