It’s still a massive hit in east London, but ‘ABBA Voyage‘ could be set to open up a second venue across the Atlantic.
Ever since the ABBA Arena opened its doors in 2022 at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, there’s been talk of the groundbreaking digital concert – featuring a stellar run of the Swedish band’s biggest hits, performed by their avatars and a live band – going global.
For a while, all eyes were on Las Vegas as the obvious choice, but now insiders say ‘ABBA Voyage’ could make its US debut on the east coast: in New York.
According to The Sun’s Bizarre column, a dormant stretch of land on 11th Avenue – close to Times Square – is being earmarked for the venue.
“While many steps remain in the process, they are actively working to bring ABBA Voyage to New York,” sources told the paper.
It comes following news that the current site of the ABBA Arena is set to be developed for housing, with construction set to begin before the end of the decade.
