Indie-pop group Gossip have released their new single, Real Power.
The rousing number is the second single and title track from their upcoming album, due for release on March 22.
Inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement in Beth Ditto’s hometown of Portland and around the world, the song is a rally cry for fans to harness their own power.
Beth says: “Real Power is about how awesome our city is and how it really showed up. The system was being rearranged and we were forcing people to reckon with it in a time when it could literally make you ill, in a pandemic.
“That’s real power-people coming together, making those decisions to be in the streets.”

Gossip recently returned with their first new music in 11 years, on the back of a 10-year anniversary tour for their 2009 album, ‘Music For Men’.
The band will headline a special one-off performance for the Radio 6 festival held in Manchester in May, where they will perform exclusives in the O2 Victoria Warehouse.
