Girls Aloud are planning a reunion concert in memory of Sarah Harding, who passed away following a battle with breast cancer last September.
According to Nadine Coyle, the gig will raise funds for cancer research and help provide crucial medical equipment in a bid to diagnose cancer sooner.
She tells OK! Magazine: “We’re planning a night for an event to raise money in honour of Sarah. She’s very much in the forefront of our minds.
“We want to raise money for a piece of medical equipment that helps diagnose cancer earlier so people can be treated. We definitely want to do something to help others.”
Nadine hoes on to admit Sarah’s death “still affects [the band] deeply – to think about everything that she went through”.
Talk of a reunion coincides with the 20th anniversary of Girls Aloud, who formed in 2002 on ‘Popstars: The Rivals’.
They went on to become the UK’s biggest-selling girl group of the 21st century.
Last year, Sarah released her memoir ‘Hear Me Out‘, and shared the devastating news of her prognosis, confirming: “In December my doctor told me that the upcoming Christmas would probably be my last.”
However, Sarah said she was “trying to live and enjoy every second of my life, however long it might be”.
