With less than a month to go until Girls Aloud return to the stage for their 21st anniversary reunion tour, the group have shared a few teasers about their plans for the setlist.

The four-piece – starring Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh – will play venues across the UK and Ireland as part of ‘The Girls Aloud Show’, as they celebrate the milestone and pay tribute to the late Sarah Harding.

Speaking to Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2, the group was asked about the potential of performing covers on the tour, with Cheryl sharing: “Do you know what? I’ve said that! I’ve said it several times, people like it!”

However, Nadine insisted: “I was dead against it. I’m like, we’ve got so many songs of Girls Aloud as our own, why do we need to?”

Nicola agreed, suggesting they perform deep cuts instead: “Would you not prefer us to do Girl Overboard or Miss You Bow Wow?”

“And Graffiti My Soul,”, added Nadine. “Guys, I think we should do [them] all!” Cheryl joked.

While they’re flooded with options when it comes to songs they could perform, it means there are plenty that won’t make the set – including some of their Top 10 hits.

“We’ve subtracted some,” confirmed Nadine, who revealed: “I Think We’re Alone Now [isn’t in the set].”

“There’s one or two not in there, but none of the high tempo ones,” added Nicola, with Kimberley joking: “Nothing that anyone’s going to miss, we’re very confident about that decision.”

‘The Girls Aloud Show’ will see the group – who will also headline Brighton Pride in August – play a total of 30 shows across the UK, marking their first tour as a four-piece following Sarah’s death.

In addition to the originally-announced 15 shows, the Love Machine hitmakers have continued to extend the run, which is now double the size that was originally announced.
