A new George Michael concert film is headed to cinemas courtesy of Universal Pictures Content Group and Bleecker Street’s Crosswalk.
Directed by his longtime collaborators Andy Morahan and David Austin, the film features never-before-seen footage of Michael at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy during the European leg of the ‘Faith Tour’ in 1988.
Shot on 35mm film on a 14-camera set-up over two nights, the film opens with the original short ‘Finding Faith’, by Mary McCartney, which features voiceover from Michael during an unheard interview, alongside unseen images captured by photographer Herb Ritts and behind-the-scenes footage of the “Faith” music video (via Deadline).
Produced by George Michael Entertainment and Mercury Studios, in association with Globe Originals, Universal will release the film internationally with Crosswalk overseeing the North American release.
The film is set for a late 2026 release.
