Erasure are back with ‘Secrets’ – the lead single from their new album ‘The Neon Remixed’.
The duo released their 18th studio album last Summer, scoring Andy Bell and Vince Clarke their highest-charting release in the UK since 1994’s ‘I Say, I Say, I Say’.
And after teasing new music across their social media channels, the group returned on Thursday, May 13 with their latest single and an announcement of the group’s second remix album.
‘The Neon Remixed’ sees tracks from the hit LP remixed by a host of artists including Kim Ann Foxman, Hifi Sean, Octo Octa, Paul Humphreys (OMD), Andy Bell & Gareth Jones, Brixxtone, Theo Kottis and more.
It comes as Erasure prepare to hit the road with their ‘The Neon’ Tour in October 2021 – tickets are on sale now.
And in a previous interview, Vince revealed the pair have “a lot more” unreleased songs from sessions for their latest LP which “will be released at some point in the future”.
The musician explained the pair usually “write the ten songs, and then that’s it – but for this, somehow, we wrote a lot more…”
“We knew that there were some good ideas and then it was up to the record company really to try and say, what was going to be on the album and which ones wouldn’t but will be released at some point in the future,” he shared.
“That’s always the way; nothing really gets discarded.”
In our review of ‘The Neon’, Retro Pop called the album “a masterclass in synth-pop” and “a triumphant effort that ranks high in Erasure’s 35-year legacy”.
