Alongside a snap of the pair, the duo said they were “plotting and planning”, and confirmed the photo was taken on Sunday (May 5).
It comes after Vince told RETROPOP’s December 2023 edition he’d been working on new tracks for the duo over the past few years, after they scored their highest-charting album in almost 30 years.
Having started work on the songs straight after the band’s UK tour in support of ‘The Neon’ (2020), he revealed: “When I came home after that UK tour, the first thing I did was I started working on the next Erasure album.
“So I formulated some backing tracks, thinking that that would be the next thing that we would do, and that’s now ready for Andy to come and put some magic on it.”
On when the tracks will be completed, he added: “[Andy] mentioned he’ll be coming to New York in November, so that’s when we’ll start working together and solidifying those songs.
“Hopefully he’ll like what I’ve done because I’ve not sent any of the stuff to him yet!”
