Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris have hit the UK No. 1 spot on this week’s Singles Chart with their huge collaboration Miracle.
Climbing from last week’s peak of No. 3, the trance anthem becomes Calvin’s 11th and Ellie’s fourth chart-topper, and their first as a duo. The pair previously earned Top 10 hits with 2012’s Need Your Love (No. 4) and 2014’s Outside (No. 6).
“Oh my God, we’re No. 1! I’m so excited, and it’s so nice to be by myself just for a moment to appreciate it,” Ellie told OfficialCharts.com. “Thank you Calvin for letting me be a part of this song. I love working with you, always.
“I know you’re just as ecstatic as I am. This is just very cool. Thank you very much to everyone for listening to it and supporting it.”
In at No. 2 and No. 3 are former chart-toppers from Miley Cyrus (Flowers) and Ed Sheeran (Eyes Closed), respectively, with Libianca’s People holding steady at No. 4.
Rounding out the Top 5 is Rema’s Calm Down.
Over on the Album’s Chart, it’s an all-new Top 3 with boygenius at No. 1 with their debut album ‘The Record’, ahead of Melanie Martinez at No. 2 with ‘Portals’ and DMA’s ‘How Many Dreams’ at No. 3.
Climbing back into the Top 5 is The Weeknd’s ‘The Highlights’ at No. 4, while last week’s No. 1, Lana Del Rey’s ‘Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd’, closes the Top 5.
