Leave Me Alone (Ladies on Mars ‘Independence’ Remix) has been released as the latest track from Donna Summer’s new posthumous LP.
The track is lifted from the forthcoming ‘I’m a Rainbow – Recovered & Recoloured’ release, featuring remixed versions of recordings intended for the disco icon’s ‘lost’ ’80s album.
It originally featured tracks produced by Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, but was axed weeks before release.
Now, a slimmed-down, 10-track version of the album is to be issued, featuring the tunes completely re-imagined by a host of international producers, including the new Ladies on Mars ‘Child of Rhythm’ mix.
Junior Vasquez, Le Flex, Jean Tonique and Figo Sound are among those who have also contributed to the release, which is due out October 8.
‘I’m A Rainbow – Recovered & Recoloured’ is available to pre-order on A5 Mediabook CD and 2LP Clear Vinyl.
