Dannii Minogue’s classic fourth album ‘Neon Nights’ is being treated to massive reissue this summer in celebration of its 20th anniversary.
Originally released in March 2003, the LP marked the star’s return to the UK charts and delivered the Top 10 singles Who Do You Love Now?, Put The Needle On It, I Begin To Wonder and Don’t Wanna Lose This Feeling.
Born of an invite from Pete Tong to collaborate with Dutch duo Riva on a rework of their club hit Stringer, a relationship with London Records – for which Tong was A&R – was born and the resulting album became the most successful of her career.
“When I first released Neon Nights I was overwhelmed,” says Dannii. “I was running around promoting and it was hard to catch a moment to enjoy it all — but even then, I knew that one day I’d be able to look back on it all, and I’d be able to think: ‘Wow. What a time…’”
Celebrating the LP, ‘Neon Nights’ is reissued as a CD+DVD set, along with Picture Disc Vinyl, Cassette and 7CD Box Set, comprising new artwork and liner notes, bonus tracks and B-sides, unarchived mixes and a swathe of newly commissioned remixes.
Ahead of its release, Dannii will return to UK TV screens as the host of BBCThree show ‘I Kissed A Boy’, which launches in May.
‘Neon Nights 20’ is out June 16 on London Records and available to pre-order now.
