Christine McVie has become the fourth member of Fleetwood Mac to sell her song catalog after scoring a deal with publishing company Hipgnosis.

The singer-songwriter is behind some of the band’s biggest hits, including Little Lies, Everywhere, Say You Love Me and You Make Loving Fun.

According to a statement, the new deal sees the company acquire the musician’s worldwide copyright, ownership and financial interest for her entire catalog, dating back to her pre-Fleetwood Mac work with Chicken Shack.

Also included is Christine’s solo work, including her 1984 self-titled album and 2004 LP ‘In The Meantime’.

In a statement, she said: “I am so excited to belong to the Hipgnosis family, and thrilled that you all regard my songs worthy of merit.

“I’d like to thank you all for your faith in me, and I’ll do all I can to continue this new relationship and help in any way I can! Thank you so much!”

Hignosis cofounder Merck Mercuriadis added: “Christine McVie is one of the greatest songwriters of all time, having guided Fleetwood Mac to almost 150 million albums sold and making them one of the best-selling bands of all time globally.

“In the last 46 years the band has had three distinct writers and vocalists but Christine’s importance is amply demonstrated by the fact that eight of the 16 songs on the band’s Greatest Hits albums are from Christine.”

Former Fleetwood Mac star Lindsey Buckingham’s catalog also sits at Hipgnosis, after he sold his publishing rights to the company in January, while Stevie Nicks went with Primary Wave in a $100 million deal.

Earlier this year, Mick Fleetwood also signed a similar deal with BMG.
