Cher is reportedly returning to the Las Vegas stage in support of her new holiday album.
According to the Daily Mirror, the superstar will embark upon her fourth residency in Sin City and first since ‘Classic Cher’, which ran from 2017 to 2020.
Insiders said: “Cher is delighted to be playing in Vegas and the shows are expected to be some of the hottest tickets of the year.
“She’s an absolute icon – fans will be desperate for the chance to see her live again.”
Hinting that big name collaborators such as Cyndi Lauper, Stevie Wonder and Darlene Love – all of whom appear on ‘Christmas’ – may pop up during the concerts, they added: “There might even be some guest appearances, as the album has a lot of duets with different artists, who jumped at the chance to be involved.”
In a recent interview, the Believe singer shared details of her upcoming project, which arrives October 20 and features the lead single, DJ Play A Christmas Song.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, the diva revealed this time around she’s called on some special guests for the record, sharing: “I really am proud of this. It’s a Cher Christmas album. It’s not your mother’s Christmas album.
“I’m really, really excited because there’s millions of people on it!” she added. “I’ve never had duets! I’ve never had people on any of my records! This was a last-minute thing… but they’re special. All of them.”
‘Christmas’ features contributions from Cyndi Lauper, Michael Bublé, Tyga, Stevie Wonder and Darlene Love, who has partnered with the pop icon to re-record her 1963 classic, Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).
In a post on Facebook, she shared: “SURPRISE!!! Here’s the EXCITING news that I’ve been HINTING to you all!!!! Can’t wait for you all to hear my duet of ‘Christmas Baby, Please Come Home’ with my dear friend Cher!!!
“I’m so excited for this!! This is one of the BEST duets I’ve EVER done!!! I’m so so proud and honored to be part of Cher’s FIRST EVER Christmas album and to be reconnected with Cherilyn Sarkisian whom I’ve known before she became CHER the mega star!!”
